Before you go out and buy a new telescope, you really should become familiar enough with the one you already have to understand what the problem is. There is no reason why you should not be able to see the rings of Saturn, the moons and storm bands of Jupiter, and several bright nebulae with a 114 mm reflector. The only issues that I can see that may prevent this are the following:

1. The rings are currently edge - on and a little difficult to see clearly.
2. You have not taken the time to collimate your scope properly. It would have to be pretty badly out of collimation for it to behave so poorly.
3. You are using the highest magnification eyepiece and are struggling with finding the target and focusing properly. You should be using the low magnification (highest focal length number) eyepiece until you are familiar enough with the scope to be comfortable with its capabilities.
4. Light pollution in your area could be a problem, although that should not affect your views of Jupiter and Saturn, which can be seen at sunset if you know where to look.
5. You simply may not be taking the time required to really see the things you are looking for, and you may not know what to expect when you are actually seeing them.

Frankly, I suspect that what you are struggling with is a combination of all these factors, with a strong emphasis on number 5. That being said, what you need is probably not a new telescope. You would probably benefit a great deal from some personal assistance to show you how to use the scope you already have and to re-establish your expectations. You are not going to see images like those shown in the books, and you may be disappointed in the level of improvement offered by higher priced instruments. Have you looked on line for a local amateur astronomy club in your area? If not, you should. They can help you a lot. Also, where did you buy this scope? If it's from a reputable dealer, even on line, he should be able to help you as well.

Certainly, there is a time to buy a new scope. You will not be able to see the Veil Nebula or the Whirlpool Galaxy with your scope. But that is not what you are looking for. My advice is to take your time and understand what the problems are before you try to correct them with additional purchases. You may spend the money and still not see what you are expecting to see. The problem may lie more with your expectations than with the equipment. You should make that determination before buying more gear.
